Sheera Ben-David is a graduate of New York University -Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theatre and Acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory. She has spent the greater part of her life performing: In 1993, a selection of Gershwin songs at The Caramoor Festival; a full solo concert at Merkin Hall; cabaret shows at various clubs & venues in and around Manhattan, such as The Metropolitan Room, The National Arts Club, Rose Theatre at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Oak Room of The Algonquin Hotel, The Royal Room of The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida and many other benefits and events.

Sheera is proud to be the daughter of two accomplished musicians. Her mother was a contralto soloist at The Metropolitan Opera for 24 years and her father was the first person to receive a Doctorate in Voice from The Juilliard School. Sheera began singing at a very early age and was lucky to have her brother accompany her on the piano throughout her childhood. Her brother, Adam Ben-David, went on to study piano and composition following in his parent's footsteps, at The Juilliard School. As a successful Broadway conductor for many years now, Adam brings so much as Sheera's Musical Director and accompanist.

In 2001, Sheera put her love of Jacques Brel's music into an album, Sheera Ben-David Sings Jacques Brel, which both she and her brother produced. She then brought her passion to the source and performed to a sold out crowd at The Music Village in Brussels, Belgium- the home of Jacques Brel.

In October of 2006, Sheera received critical acclaim for her debut at the Algonquin Hotel's famed Oak Room. As a result, she was awarded the Ira Eaker Award for Special Achievement at the Backstage Bistro Cabaret Awards in April of 2007.

In 2008, she brought a new show to The Oak Room called, Come Summer, which was music directed by Adam Ben-David and directed by Eric Michael Gillett. She then went on to present another show at the famed room with the same amazing team called, Let Me Sing and I'm Happy. Both shows were given rave reviews. She is also always blessed to be joined by her incredible band; Mat Fieldes - Bass and Damien Bassman - Drums.

Sheera was then given the distinct honor of being the 2009 Julie Wilson Award winner. It was presented by The Mabel Mercer Foundation at The 20th Annual Cabaret Convention.
